Scandinavian-inspired architecture finds a unique presence in Luxembourg, and this house beautifully showcases that influence. Originally built in the 1980s on the outskirts of Luxembourg City, the house has been thoughtfully expanded to honor its original character.
Two extensions were conceived that embrace a central terrace, forming a courtyard without compromising the home’s authentic charm. To seamlessly blend the new with the old, we studied and refined the original material palette, selecting black wooden cladding treated with traditional techniques to match the existing structure. The interplay of light timber on the terrace, warm red bricks, and deep black cladding creates a striking yet inviting ambiance, embodying warmth and modern elegance.
